Carolyn Ruth Leichty, 91, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Kingston Care Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  She was born on December 11, 1931 in Topeka, IN to the late Dana C. & Dorothy E. (Zimmerman) Hartzler.  She married Leonard John Leichty on January 16, 1954 at the Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Topeka, IN.  He preceded her in death on January 6, 2009.

Surviving are sons, Phillip (Renell) Leichty and LaMar (Laura) Leichty both of Auburn; grandchildren, Megan (Jason) Buuck, Emilee (Nate) McBride, Jacob (Krista) Leichty, Logan (Allison) Leichty and Shelby (Richard) Schwartz; great grandchildren, Grace, Edward & Andrew Buuck, Ethan & Olivia McBride and Luke & Landen Leichty.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Nolen Hartzler and Cleo Hartzler and a sister, Marilyn Hartzler.

Calling will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2-5 pm at North Leo Church (15419 SR 1 Leo, IN).  Services will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 10 am with calling one hour prior at the church.  Pastors Stephen Showers and Michael Lederman will officiate.  Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery, Leo, IN.
