Caroline K. Burke, 31, died Saturday in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She died a senseless tragic death fueled by cruelty, abuse and violence. She was born on Jan. 14, 1981 to Gene & Wendy Burke. Surviving are her mother, Wendy Watson Marietta and step-father, Mike Marietta of Ft. Wayne; her father, Gene Burke and step-mother, Marilyn Burke of Temperance, MI; three sisters, Elizabeth Watson Burke, Cheryl Marietta Marquette and Jeanette Marietta Shoemaker. She worked at Lowe's in Tucson, AZ in various positions for five years. She then attended Pima Medical Institue, graduating with honors in 2011.

No services or calling. The family will be holding a celebration of her life in Toledo, OH in 2013.
