Brent Akey, 59, died Sunday at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN.  He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Glen A. Akey and Lois (Kimes) Akey Shull.

Surviving are a sister, Lona (Rich) Lock of Albion; nephew, Denny (Angie) Akey, Jr. of Grabill and a niece, Nicole Frank of Denver, CO.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Denny A. Akey, Sr.

Brent worked as a machinist and loved mushroom hunting, fishing, camping, dogs and being with friends and family.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
