Betty Beck, 90, died Thursday at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Platte, South Dakota to the late John & Cornelia (Van Der Bloom) DeVries. She married James T. Beck on September 15, 1945 in Mishawaka, IN. Surviving are her husband, James of Ft. Wayne; two sons, David Beck of Ft. Wayne and Daniel Beck of LaOtto; two daughters, Pamela Roberts of Monroeville and Connie Schearer of Ft. Wayne; 11 grandchildren & 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Ann "Toots" Ewing of Sioux City, IA. She was preceded in death by a son, James F. Beck; a daughter, Anita Kay Beck; a grandson, Daniel Beck; 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She was a homemaker and a member of North Highland Church of Christ in Ft. Wayne. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing the piano and accordion.

Calling will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 from 4-8 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville, IN. Services will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 2 pm with calling one hour prior at the funeral home with Pastor David Altman officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, St.Joe, IN.
