Barbara Broeking, 78, died Saturday at Coventry Meadows in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was born in Waterloo, IN on February 9, 1937.

Surviving are a niece, Sandy (Chester) Kotzenmeyer of Ft. Wayne; nephews, Rick (Barb) Rinard of Brooklyn, MI and Gary (Jeannette) Rinard of Angola; half sister, Donna (Gerald) Fry of Auburn; brother-in-law, Jim Rinard of Spencerville; several great & great great nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her father & step mother, Benard & Vivian Schaftner; mother & step father, Leah & Norval Conine; sister, Mabel Rinard; half brother, Benard "Butch" Schaftner, Jr; step sister & brother-in-law, Bonnie & Ron Dwyer and step brother, Burt Sproat.

She retired from Dana Corporation in Ft. Wayne after 40 years of service, worked part time at L. S. Ayres in Ft. Wayne where she could enjoy her one love which was to shop. She also enjoyed music especially The Lettermen.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 11 am in the chapel at Highland Park Cemetery (2403 E. Wallen Road Ft. Wayne, IN). Pastor Ken Herb of Spencerville United Methodist will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Chimes at Highland Park.
