Barbara M. Bartle, 91, died Saturday, April 13, 2024 at her home in rural Grabill, IN.  She was born on September 20, 1932 in Ft. Wayne, IN to the late Louis W. & Geraldine A. (Smith) Wegman.  She married John W. Bartle on November 16, 1950 and he preceded her in death on April 2, 2016.

Surviving are her children, Sherry McCoy of Ft. Wayne, Gary (Erin) Bartle of Harlan, Michael Bartle of Grabill and Wendy (Mark) Burke of Ft. Wayne; 5 grandchildren & 1 great granddaughter; and a brother, Kenneth Wegman of Equality, AL.  She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Bartle and 3 sisters, Lillian Harding, Nancy Sellers and Bonnie Wegman.

Barbara graduated from Harlan High School.  She worked at a knitting shop in Ft. Wayne from 1950 to 1952 and then was a homemaker.  She returned to work in the 1970's at Fabricon, Sheller-Globe and K-Mart.  After retiring, she and her husband John performed magic shows for Christian groups and retirement communities while wintering in Texas.  They loved to travel in their Air Stream Trailer and visited 48 of the states.  They also travelled to Australia and New Zealand.

Calling will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home, Spencerville, IN.  Services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 2 pm with calling one hour prior at the funeral home.  Burial in Leo Memorial Park Cemetery, Leo, IN.
