Anthony "Tony" W. Halsey, 64, died Friday at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born in Seymour, IN to the late Hershall E. & Edna Mae (McCowan) Halsey. He married Heather Hollinger on November 22, 2010.
Surviving are his wife, Heather R. Halsey of Garrett; sons, Dylon Halsey of Garrett, Dusty (Brittany) Halsey of Woodburn; daughters, Breanna Halsey of Garrett, Alesia (Randy) Kaiser of Butler, Heather (Scott) Keeran of Hicksville, OH, and Toni Ruppert of Cecil, OH; brothers, Larry (Sherry) Halsey of Garrett, Woody (Sandy) Halsey of Woodburn, LeRoy Halsey of New Haven, Joe Halsey of Hamilton and Ray (Tuesday) Halsey of Syracuse; sisters, Janie (Bob) Craft of Albion and Mary (Troy) Grant of Arthur, OH; 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet (Halsey) Durham; daughter, Shawn Halsey and sisters-in-law, Kathy & Ella Halsey.
He worked as a tire builder at Uniroyal Goodrich for 31 years retiring in 2007 and was a member of the United Steelworkers Local 715. He loved to fish, garden, watch birds out his window and spend time with his family.
Calling will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 from 1-3 pm at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville, IN. Services at 3 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Garrett, IN.
