Amaryllis Albertha
Williams
Jan 26, 1927 — Dec 7, 2024
Spencerville
Amaryllis (Amy) Albertha (Juncker) Williams died December 7, 2024, at her daughter's home in Spencerville, IN. She was 97. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 70 years Wm. Earl Williams, her parents Jacob and Catherine Juncker, brothers Virgilius and Harvey Juncker, and sisters Violet Mann and Louanna Winiger. She is survived by her loving family, son Roger Williams (Cyndi), daughter Kathy Baer (Joe), grandchildren Erin Walker (Jason), Sara Knabb (JJ), Lindsey Williams, Alex Baer (Sarah), Kalah Baer and Jordan Baer (Sydney), great-grandchildren Austin Walker, Trey, Kaleb and Nolan Knabb, Chandler Watts, Riley Baer and Ace Baer.
Amy, through faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, manifested Matthew 7:20, "by their fruit you will recognize them." She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a great friend and beautiful servant of the Lord. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's U.C.C. and a founding member of the more than 80-year-old Triangle Sunday School class, often serving as a class officer and leading many service projects over the decades. She was engaged in many ministries and other service projects over the years. Amy was devoted to community service as a core member of the Boys and Girls Club Service League and DeMolay Mothers for many years. She had a passion for cross-stitching, needle point and embroidery, which she often gifted to family and friends. She enjoyed gathering with her sewing group, the Knitwits. Amy and her husband Earl were passionate pinochle players, enjoying Friday night games at a friend's home and monthly card club gatherings for decades. A graduate of Centennial Grade School and Reitz High School, Amy and Earl faithfully attended Reitz football games.
The family is so very grateful to her daughter Kathy Baer and son-in-law Joe Baer for their compassion and love as they watched over and cared for her during the years following Earl's passing. Thanks also to her caregiver Robin Powell and hairdresser and caregiver Paula Gonzalez who took wonderful care of her and kept her looking good. Grateful also to Heartland Hospice in Ft. Wayne, IN for their kindness during Amy's final months.
Funeral services for Amy will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. J.D. Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 6:00 PM on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
